Calling from top of Elm tree for about two minutes before flying away. Audio recording of vocalisation from iPhone. Secondary observation just after 5pm - called again from Elm then was observed feeding from weed seed heads on front footpath, just as with prior observation in early December 2022 at this location. Weed species is purple salsify Tragopogon porrifolius. Large green Old World finch with yellow-buff wing bar.
