Observed a shorebird standing on one leg on edge of a tidal flat. Brown upper body (with a slight rufous tinge), white lower body. Convex boundary between upper & lower coluration on chest The bird maintained its posture so did not get a good look at bill shape. Blurred photo attached.Sadly, the bird was at edge of camera's range. Larger than 25cm by comparing size with the nearby Caspian Tern. A little surprised. Happy to be corrected
