Gözlem detayları
All seen well, close to boat. In groups of 3 or 4. Some with chicks, some all adults. Small alcids with black heads sharply contrasting with white below rising up behind eye, gray back, and short, stubby, pale bill. Sea surface pretty calm and nearly ideal for sighting alcids and small species on the water. (Later wind picked up making it more difficult to pick out small birds on the water at distance). A banner day for this species.
