Two cormorants flew in - looked through binoculars and saw they had reddish-orange gular patches that looked distinctly different from Double-crested Cormorants: more pointed and not as extensive as DCCO. Scope view showed no coloration over the eye, but did show what seemed to be a border of lighter-colored feathering around the pointed part of the reddish patch. Definitely not a DCCO, which I'm very familiar with. Note: I had been alerted that Neotropic Cormorants might be in the area. I've attached a very poor, distant photo. The two birds were actively fishing: Diving and staying underwater for many seconds before coming up. I watched them for about 12 minutes before some golfers came past them and spooked them into flying and leaving.
