Примечания
SBDO This bird was brighter and buffier than other Short-billeds and had more advanced molt to non-breeding (winter) plumage. Wondered about possible L. s. hendersoni (prairie) subspecies. Called "tu tu tu".
Подробности наблюдения
At least three possibly four birds. These plump shorebirds with long bills feeding with sewing movements in shallow water around pannes. Slightly more hunchbacked than apparent Long-billed feeding nearby. Two aged as juveniles with one other bird with different brighter plumage showing more buff color in breast, tertials and wing coverts. This bird also had more advanced molt into non-breeding plumage with gray back/scapulars (see photos). Identification by plumage: juveniles with strong internal markings on tertials. Heard bright bird call "tu-tu-tu" when it flushed.
