NOTES: CONTINUATION OF LNS 06839 AND 06840. ADULTS COME TO FEED YOUNG. D. P. ABIETICOLA. NESTLING(S); ADULT(S) [Although both adult and juvenile were said to be present in first part, it appears that only one bird was calling (apparently the juvenile). The first part of the recording combines "Wuk Series Calls" with more grating calls typical of a young bird. The second part combines these same grating calls with eleven fast "Wuk Series Calls" (see p. 420 of Short, L. L. 1982. Woodpeckers of the World. Delaware Mus. Nat. Hist. 4:1-676). A single series of "Wok" Calls at 0:48-0:53 was said to be given by the adult. Quality changed from 1 to 1-2 - CAM - 10 May 2005]. Same subject(s) as LNS 6841.
