Подробности наблюдения
Bird #1: Located on the RT trail branch close and parallel to the river. Heard only, but repeatedly at close range, deep syrupy "REAcher REAcher reacher" last phrase of song lower and quieter. No visual, heard from within dense tangles on the riverside. Audio recorded by not members of the party. Interestingly we found a possible second (third for the day!) further down the trail, again by the river but about a half mile further, assumed to be the same individual. Bird #2: Located at 11:30 AM, entrance of the RT, end of Colbert Street on the right in a dense tangle. Separated by a mile or two from the other individual. There is a small trail and a clearing here. Max Conor and I were standing in the clearing when we heard a yellowthroat. I saw a bird naked eye which I originally assumed to be a yellowthroat, I checked it in the binoculars and was surprised to find another Mourning Warbler. Adult male, compete slaty hood with black lores, black splotch at the base of the hood, bright yellow underneath including flanks, undertail coverts. Olive wings and back. I had a good view for a few seconds at 10 ft. Max and Conor saw the bird briefly, but it soon flew back into the brush. Responded to playback when the whole group had joined us with husky, and slightly buzzy chips. No photos.
