Steady band of grackles arriving, and filling trees - for three minutes. Then a minute later a few hundred more arrived. Two minutes later, many thousand more arrived. A second after they landed all of them were silent for a few seconds. Then, many took flight and quickly re-landed into the same woods/treetops and some landed on the ground for less than a minute. And then they left. (Pictures are portions of them.) Presumably these were the same grackles I observed on Crittendon Rd field - across from Hidden Cove just after 8 AM today: https://ebird.org/checklist/S290497280
