Placing under MOWA for the time being for visibility so it shows up on the RBA. Woah!!!!! Seen here (38.469832,-123.155361). Lifer! Was running a mob when this bird popped up on the hillside, where I saw a geothlypis warbler with a yellow throat (that wasn't a COYE). It then dove down into the willows, where I ended up getting really solid (though obscured) looks for about 30 seconds before it flew deeper into the riparian. This bird was yellow below, olive-green above, with a faint gray nape/head. The throat was yellow in color and there was very little visible separation between the throat and the breast. There was a bit of a breast band that slowly tapered out as it approached the center of the breast. It appeared to show a broken eyering that was more extensive than typical for MGWA (weaker on the side than above but mostly still visible). The legs and bill were pink as expected in a MGWA/MOWA. I'm 99% confident this was a MOWA, but I'll wait to get my actual (non-BOC) photos up before making the final call.
