Adult male loafing and diving with LESC flock at east end of Alvarado Bay, approximately here: (32.7836083, -117.0402030). Noticeably larger than adjacent LESC, with a wider, deeper-based bill and smooth, evenly rounded rear crown when both relaxed and diving. Still showing some remnant brownish-gray mottling along sides and flanks from alternate/breeding plumage. Photos.
