David Bailey brought up on the Discord server that it was strange to have a WETA here at this time, which I agreed although didn't think much of it at the time. Here are some more recordings of it with the RECR type 4 featured at the end of the first recording. WETA can also be heard in the background of the RECR recording. With the lack of Sherman birding in the summer outside of Cottonwood Canyon, 11 total checklists at this location in July from the past 3 years, surely it would be hard to tell what could potentially move through after failed nesting or just lost from migration. A few previous July checklists include a YEWA which surely would be strange here, so DeMoss likely serves as a type of oasis and possible trap for vagrants with the water running through on the north end that not many people check midsummer. Also a rare chance there is nesting happening there. There seems to be a green corridor following this spring up to Barnum Canyon. Birds of the World notes WETA have nested in deciduous trees, although that is the minority of nesting sites. Regardless, the bird was vocalizing the entire time I was there (and during a later checklist), but it never crossed my mind to investigate further. Vocalizations match WETA with the monotone, burry, short phrases and lack of musicality or sweetness one would expect from a SUTA or SCTA.
