Подробности наблюдения
***very rare. Singing a few whistles with a single raspy note sandwiched toward the end; like a Black-throated Green with the notes out of order. I gave a few pishes and immediately it came bombing into the canopy above. It stuck around for about 20 minutes before the flock moved on into the forest. It was gleaning actively and chased a Black-throated Green several times; this Townsend's was clearly the aggressor of the two. This was a clear cut spring male; black cap, cheek, and throat, with yellow face otherwise and a yellow breast. The sides and flanks were streaky, with even a streak or two on the undertail coverts; there was a slight hint of yellow at the sides of the white vent. Steely blue wings with two wingbars, and a green back. Exact location was here, best accessed from the Overlook Trail, as access from the south side is wet- https://maps.app.goo.gl/Bo1yfJQGjxJhthe49 Other flock members included Black-throated Green, Northern Parula, two Black-and-White Warblers, and Magnolia Warbler.
