Will add photos. Loafing on the docks near the marina entrance. 3rd cycle? Large heavy-set gull, comparable to large Herring. Mostly black bill. Dense fine brown vermiculations on head, giving an almost hooded appearance. Mantle gray (comparable to Herring) with some brown. Wingtips dark grayish, maybe slightly darker than mantle. Pink legs.
