Подробности наблюдения
My first record for my Linggi patch and for Negeri Sembilan! Medway and Wells shows a gap in distribution aligning with Negeri Sembilan. The bird was first seen feeding in short grass swathe around wet depression along the edge of reservoir, through bins I immediately identified it as Long-toed Stint. After 30 seconds the bird was spooked and flew north. I followed it with my bins and saw in land in the muddy fringe along the NW corner of reservoir. After driving up to the area I relocated the bird, an adult in breeding plumage, feeding alongside a Wood Sandpiper and two LRPs. Later they were joined by a Common Sandpiper also. One LRP was continuously hassling the stint when it got too close, the Wood Sand in turn pushed the LRP away a few times. After about 15 minutes the group was disturbed by a Brahminy Kite and the stint flew off to the east. I did not manage to relocate it. The Wood Sand and the LRPs returned about 5 mins later. Photos and video taken of the LTS.
