NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 20. Bulk reel: 28,a) 23 Apr 1967. 6:30 AM. Weather: Cloudy, fair. The one-note repeated calls. Quality: 1. Level: +5.This recording is made after playback. The bird (which sounds like a female) had been singing farther away the same song. With playback it came to the trees overhead but stayed high in the trees (tall trees) and would not come down nor allow itself to be seen.b) 24 Apr 1967. 5:10 AM. Weather: Cloudy. The next morning, what I presume is very likely the same bird, sang from the same place where part a) was recorded, now naturally. Quality: 3. Level: +5.Then after playback of the foregoing, it continued the same type song.(Due to bad cicada interference I've saved only a bit of each.). Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song.
