Подробности наблюдения
Just north of the Loch across from the first cutout, south of the Loch walking path. Initially heard singing from the 1st cutout, then we went around to the north side to get a closer look/listen. Heard more singing there - stuttering complex song ending on a rising note. Thanks to a recent tip from Tim Healy, I understand that Gray-cheeked Thrushes can sometimes pepper in a few songs in their repertoire that end on a rising note, but only Bicknell’s will do that consistently, so we were careful and listened intently for a long time. Each full song we heard ended in that rising note. Good but not great audio recording to be added, including a few calls heard as well. Although the bird was mostly hidden by dense foliage, we finally got a decent view and noted minimal eyering, consistent gray coloring throughout, but a slight warmer tone to the tail feathers. Spotted breast.
