Подробности наблюдения
*Exceptionally rare in the U.S. in November-March, eBird shows just one other record in Florida (an overwintering bird from November '21 through March '22) and ~10 for the United States total. I initially spotted it hanging out with a few Yellow-rumped Warblers in the brush behind Langdon Battery and it wasn't calling, so initially only able to be identified as Alder/Willow (Traill's). On the return from my walk, the bird was (luckily) calling independently and repeatedly doing the dry, "wit" call that easily separates it from Alder. Weak, inconspicuous eye ring most visible toward the rear of the eye, short- to medium-length primary projection and smooth, cream-colored underside lacking any grayish tones effectively ruled out Eastern Wood-Pewee.
