Medium sized, bright orange all over, not as red like in most books. There is a similar photo in Stokes book, but not Sibley or Nat'l Geographic. Larger than Scarlett or Western Tanagers. Very large long bill, blunt tip, yellowish to horn color. Wings slightly darker than rest of body. New yard bird. Photos are terrible. I had to crop them very much and lighten them up a huge amount. The bird was much brighter orange and lighter.
