State bird! At (30.5491156, -94.4190869) in the big cut with lots of bluestem. Accessed power line cut by walking outer loop trail and hiking through old road at (30.5468031, -94.4147873). Flushed two pine warblers from near the ground and then two seconds later the HESP flew up and landed in a bush. Great looks at the olive nape, greenish yellow face, white throat, delicate breast streaking, short spiky rusty tail, and rusty wings. In very fresh plumage not how I’ve seen them up north in the summer. Thin eyering, flat head, long larger bill.
