NOTES: noon +0.5; species cut number 11 BNA: Both the Song and Keeup calls are heard. Mimicry of robin call notes can be heard in the last 2 elements of the last song. CZ 20/07/2004. [Actually, all five songs here contain imitations of the calls of both Catharus guttatus and Turdus migratorius (two different calls). I believe the calls here (especially at 0:24 and 0:41-2:01) represent the "tidilip" and/or "kee-up" calls of BNA, which is one of the most typical calls that one hears from this species. Note also that there are calls of both Carduelis tristis and especially Carpodacus mexicanus (and Psaltriparus minimus) scattered throughout the second two parts of this recording. I suspect, for example, that the calls at 1:16 and 1:19 are those of Carpodacus mexicanus. Quality changed from 1-2 to 1-2, 2-1 - CAM - 4 February 2005]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest.
