Подробности наблюдения
Since we’re rather unfamiliar with hybrids of goldeneye, we’re going to do more research to see if this is within the range of a pure Barrow’s. One adult male. Moderately curved patch just behind the bill as opposed to an oval of a Common. Several small and distinct white markings in a straight line on the sides of the black back. White flanks with a little divet of black dipping down into the white toward the front of the flanks. We felt the dots on the back were consistent with Barrow’s as well as the extensive solid black on the back. We also thought the very vertical for head meeting the bell in a right angle, indeed, sometimes appearing to overhang the bill a bit, was consistent with Barrow’s. The one marking we questioned was the white patch behind the bill, wondering if the comma wasn’t elongated enough.
