Подробности наблюдения

Briefly landed at west end of beach for only a few seconds (~1:40 PM) and then flew west w/ a Pectoral. Took two record shots (only the second of which is of any use since I couldn't zoom in quick enough) during its very brief time on the ground and was surprised when I looked at the photos! Distinctive. Upright posture, long neck w/ small & round head, big & dark eyes, bright buff on neck and head, scaly back pattern, short bill, and legs appear yellowish. Dark speckling on lower back neck and a bit on the crown. See cropped photo below:
