Подробности наблюдения
Considerably smaller than the many Common and Forster's Terns we saw during this past weekend. Appears to be a juvenile due to taupe (?) coloring between beak and eye that continues up over a patch of white above the eye. This taupe is mixed with white feathering color that eventually connects to what appears to be white and black feathers on the back top part of head. There is a solid patch of black starting behind eye and covers an area back and up until it meets up with the white/black mixture. Below all this is solid white on neck and nape. White continues down on chest and belly. Rump appears to possibly be a very light gray. Dark carpal bar. The taupe coloring along with white and gray appear on the back and wings. The ends of the wings are dark with thin white edging. Dark beak. Patch of white above beak. The position of bird along with low light made it difficult to see legs very well. They appeared to be yellow.
