Georgia DNR has determined that a small number of Golden Eagles spend the winter in Georgia. The area along the Flint River near Sprewell Bluff is one prime spot for them. This eagle was banded and determined to be a 5th year (sub-adult) male. The photos don't do it justice. So majestic.
