Подробности наблюдения
Singing bird. Sang both primary and alternate songs of Northern Parula as well as the primary Cerulean Warbler song. Initially ID'ed as Cerulean which appeared 'drab'. Subsequent observation revealed the bird singing the various songs. The bird had a notable broken white eyering. Photos obtained. White throat patch significantly smaller than would be expected on Cerulean--in fact same size as Northern Parula. No surrounding "Collar" of white into the lower neck bilaterally. Significant discussion has been had on various Facebook groups about the possibility of a hybrid vs the possibility of a Northern Parula lacking red and yellow pigments. While no decision has been decided as of this writing, I feel this more likely represents the hybrid. A similar bird was seen in the area 3 years ago by Doug Stemke, also with photos obtained. Bird was subsequently observed by myself on 4/22, and other individuals on 4/23 and 4/24 per Facebook reports and e-mail reports. This report is being written on 4/25. Bird observed with Ryan Hamilton, Andy Belt and John Mueller.
