Подробности наблюдения
** Rare The bird was seen at low tide mixed in with a flock of Bonaparte's gulls. It was in full alternate plumage with a full dark brown/black hood. It was slightly larger than the surrounding Bonaparte's gulls. It had bright red legs and a dark red bill. The bill was heavier than the bills of the nearby Bonaparte's Gulls. It did extend its wings at one point to reveal dark undersides to its primaries. This is an uncommon bird in CT but it is not uncommon to find one mixed in with Bonaparte's flocks at this time of year and at this location. Photos obtained
