A very slender and pale Sterna tern with a full black cap, mostly black bill with a dingy orange base, hot pink-orange legs, very light gray wings, and soft wash of pink on breast and belly. This first individual was associating with other terns on the flat at (36.4746249, -75.8509307). The flock was eventually flushed by a car and mixed in with other terns moving south along the shoreline. On my return walk south on the beach, I came across a flock of Royal Terns, where I found two Roseate Terns, one of which was likely the original individual. I obtained photos showing both terns in one frame. While scanning through a group of terns working the shore, I photographed a Roseate that I assumed to be the original individual, but after reviewing photos, appears to be a possible third individual with a more extensively bright orange bill than the others. I have attached a flight shot of this bird below.
