Примечания
Behavior and other notes: Adult male Yellow-throated Vireo singing from a Red Oak tree. The first cut is natural, no playback. Second, through fourth cuts, he was singing from a Black Walnut and are response to playback. He seems to be singing more songs per unit time that I am accustomed to for this species, even without playback. There did not appear to be any conspecifics in the area that would have had him excited. Recording Time: 0702 (UTC -4). Temperature 14C. Habitat: mixed deciduous woods. Distance to sound source: 12 meters. Specific location: Sleepy Creek WMA, high hairpin, Berkeley Co., WV. Latitude 39.511825, Longitude -78.138204. Elevation 488 meters. ID’d by sight and sound; ID confidence 100%. Equipment notes: Recorder HPF on at 80Hz, -12dB/octave.
