Surrounding of building where eggs were laid.
Подробности наблюдения
On 19 May 2020 owner of the house went to look for some repairs on terrace. Terrace floor has some small ditches and some grass was grown and dried. In one ditch owner found 2 eggs. As he approaches near the eggs two birds (Red Wattled Lapwing) approached and attacked. He inspected the terrace and decided to undertake repairs. On 20th May 2020 team of repair work reached to terrace and they found three eggs means one egg was added to clutch during last 24 hours. Lapwing started attacking the repairing team. Area of this building is open field, railway line, one canal flowing south to north. During that period there was canal deepening work was done. Because of that I feel the pair decided to lay the eggs on terrace. Workers removed the eggs and placed aside. The work was finished during hole day. After that pair deserted the nest. After five days on 25 May 2020 we visited the place and found eggs were not attained. We removed eggs thinking why lapwing laid eggs on terrace. Now days we see Red wattled lapwings are laying eggs on roof tops and terraces particularly open terraces. This terrace at the height is much more than known it is 30 ft. This terrace was closed by three feet high parapet wall. I amaze how these chicks will climb the wall and how they reach ground. They have to climb the wall and jump from terrace. I want see all this happening but missed the chance.
