Continuing, an awesome find by Amy Brubaker the previous day. Hanging out in the phragmites near the canoe launch; vocalizing occasionally and best viewed from the railroad bridge, though did eventually fly across to the opposite bank of the river (and into Norfolk County?). Giving flight call vocalizations that I first picked up on and then listened to with Dan and Ted (Marshall mentioned it'd be the same ones that you'd be looking for when monitoring night flight calls). Eventually popped out of the reeds and tangled with Common Grackles a few times as we watched, who no doubt are nesting in there and probably weren't thrilled there was an interloper. Got a few others on the bird over the course of the next hour or so. Likely to be there later today if others are considering chasing...
