Подробности наблюдения
Three ducks stayed hidden among the grass/reeds on shore at Mosquito Lake, but I could see enough of them to tell that two had glossy dark chests, yellow eyes, light colored bills (possibly patterned but the grass obscured them somewhat), dark heads and backs, and white bellies. The other had yellow eyes, a light belly, a brown chest, a light bill (again, possibly patterned but the grass was in the way), and I couldn't tell what the back looked like. The browner one (which I think was a female) was resting next to one of the dark ones and the other was a bit further away (maybe 14 duck lengths?), also obscured by the grass he was resting in. I predict they were Ring-Necked Ducks based on some of the pictures, but I can't rule out Scaups based on other pictures. They were still there when we returned by Mosquito Lake.
