Подробности наблюдения
I assume this is the same individual that was first reported by Hommert and Dean on Jan 15, 2020 at Bradford. It has been reported by about 5 additional birders on 15 Jan, then by Freibohle on 20 Jan, Decker and Pelc on 27 Jan, Bieksza on Jan 29, Johnson again on 10 March and myself on 17 March. This bird has been eluding many observers but it is still present. One NSHR lingered into late April, so stop by the dump pile in the early to mid-morning and give it a chance to show up. This bird is larger than a Loggerhead Shrike, narrower black mask, long heavy beak with a distinct hook at end of bill. The base of the lower mandible has a white patch. This is an adult bird with no brown of the immature shrike and has a strongly gray wavy thin lines on a lighter gray underside. The upper-parts are paler compared to the medium blue-gray upper-parts of a Loggerhead Shrike. This individual slowly bobbed its tail as I watched it perched on the top weeds above the dump pile. There is a white crescent over the eye and noticeably white over the bill. There is a slight hint of an eye ring at the lower edge of the eye.
