Подробности наблюдения
Appeared near the road (NW corner of the bridge) as I was departing. I'm going to provide my description and thinking on this one and post as Red-naped/Red-breasted for now. I hope to gather some input and hopefully some expert opinion as to whether I should change this to the Hybrid. The head pattern is the challenge. I'm no expert, so here goes... There is a broad white eyeline that is washed over with red. As the bird moves around, you can see more or less of the white eyeline with red wash. This broad white eyeline extending behind the eye to the back of the head is like a the Red-naped. A black brow line runs above the broad white eyeline and extends around to the back of head like in a Red-naped. The one image where the bird is looking right as it sits in the V of the tree branches shows an indication of a black line across the top of the breast. It's overwashed in red down into the chest, but the black line across the top of the breast is like a Red-naped. I've included photos showing both sides of the head and views of the back. The white appearing in two rows along the back is also suggestive of the Red-naped. The chest and belly did show very pale hint of yellow that can be seen in the one image showing the head and chest in some images, but it was more obvious in person. This pale yellow and the extensive red and red over wash on the head and into the chest are like the Red-breasted The photos are cropped and exposure adjusted to brighten them up, but no color enhancement was applied.
