A Grey-tailed Tattler feeding and running on the strandline of Peel Inlet, Western Australia. The Grey-tailed Tattler (Tringa brevipes) is a non-breeding migrant to Australia from Siberia in the southern summer. They are more common in northern Australia. This single Grey-tailed Tattler was hunting for kelp flies and other small invertebrates on the strandline at Coodanup on the eastern shore of Peel Inlet. It was chased away on several occasions by a Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) that was feeding nearby. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: March 22, 2019.
