Bar-tailed Godwits watching for danger as they loaf in the Peel Inlet shallows. Non-breeding Bar-tailed Godwits (Limosa lapponica) visit Australia in the austral summer. These Godwits were loafing in the shallows at Peel Inlet, south of Perth in Western Australia, swivelling their bodies as they kept watch for danger before a Silver Gull disturbed one of them.
