A male Rufous Treecreeper eating biscuit crumbs. Rufous Treecreepers (Climacteris rufus) are found in tall closed forests, open woodlands and mallee scrub in south-western Australia. As their name suggests, they forage for ants and other insects on tree trunks and also on the ground. This male Rufous Treecreeper was videoed in tall, wet Karri (Eucalyptus diversicolor) forest in the Porongurup National Park in southern Western Australia. This male Treecreeper also enjoyed biscuit crumbs, eating some that had been spilt near the base of a brick barbeque in the Bolganup Picnic area in Porongurup National Park in Southern Western Australia. Elevation: 329 m. Date added to IBC: October 10, 2019.
