Примечания
A Great Dusky Swift at its nest under a waterfall – feeding its chick. Great Dusky Swifts (Cypseloides senex) are found in Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and tropical northern Argentina in forested and riverine habitats. It is famous with birders for flying through the curtain of falling water, perching and nesting behind the huge cataracts of Iguazu Falls. This behaviour protects them from most predators, even if the penalty is to be perpetually wet! This adult Great Dusky Swift was perched just under a rock overhang that sheltered its nest at Alvar Nunez Falls in Argentina’s Iguazu National Park. There are two chicks in the upper right of the video clip, one of which was fed by its parent. Elevation: 218 m. Date added to IBC: February 17, 2019.
