Подробности наблюдения
A small, grey and white tern with a deeply forked tail, light to medium grey mantle and upper wings, and short, reddish legs. The bird had a relatively large, thick, sharply-pointed black bill and a white head with a large black patch around the eye and extending rear of the eye, but not reaching the back of its head. Seen well from within 50 m as it flew over the marsh along the trail. The bird was likely part of a large cohort of birds displaced to NS by Hurricane Dorian. Photo attached.
