I was delighted to spot a fabulously plump, ponderous Bronzewing trotting across the road, before hiding under a picnic bench! When we drove closer, to within an astonishingly close range, it's friend materialised in a patch of sun! They didn't even mind a blast of Metallica when I wound the window down for some photos...
