Season: dry, Habitat types: logged over, Parabola = 18/6") -SBA 18/10/2002 Notes: "the juvenile had fledged two days before. It was lying down on a bed of epiphytic ferns on a branch about 700m from the nest. when the juvenile spotted the parent it began to call begging for food in a loud screaming manor. It held it's body at a 45 degree angle with wings 1/3 spread. It would beat it's wings vigorously while calling thrusting them forward. It's head was hunched back and would be thrust forward with each call. Bill 1/2 to 3/4 open. Both adults were present, the most violent calling took place when the adults would move from one perch to another, calling was greatly reduced after the parents departed from the area.". Other Behaviors: Beg, Perform Visual Display. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth.
