Heard more than seen. There is a fairly healthy population of Shelleys Francolin on the reserve. Ground birds in general struggle with an over population of baboons on the reserve. However, the Leopard population has increased significantly in the last decade. Baboon numbers in our area of the reserve are down and ground birds appear to be more abundant. This is a personal observation and not based on any study
