Подробности наблюдения
Continuing trio. First seen while scanning the open area near the mouth of the channel as seen from the trail that heads south from the boardwalk. Rather large, mostly white ducks with dark heads, bright orange bills without a knob at the base, broad rusty bands across the breast, black scapulars, rusty tinged undertail coverts and pinkish legs. Initially resting with heads tucked, they soon became more active and eventually flew a bit further north into the marsh. After about one hour, they flew much further north (past the boardwalk) and deep into the marsh where they were still visible but much further away. During flight, a white trailing edge on the wings of all 3 birds was visible. No bands were observed on any bird.
