Подробности наблюдения
This first-fall male or adult female appeared in the chinese elm in my driveway, loosely with a mixed flock of mostly Bushtits, often associating with a male Townsend's Warbler. It circuited into an ash tree bordering my backyard with the TOWA, then into the chinese elm tree in front, by which time I had to stop following it. It had a whitish chin, presumably indicating a first-year male or an adult female (or possibly a particularly whitish-chinned adult male?). I do have one okay photo of the spread tail (first one below); I would lean toward the outer rects being somewhat tapered, indicating a first-year bird, but I'm not sure how accurately I can judge based on that photo.
