Подробности наблюдения
Initially left this bird off the list as I wanted to review photos. Bird was located in between dirt rows in the drying basin near the road splitting pond 1. At the time, the bird fit the dowitcher type profile and was seen foraging very briefly in the sewing machine like motion that is typical of this species. The bird then tucked in its bill and was primarily viewed in this position. Best as I can see tail pattern stripes seemed to be evenly matched black/white bars (rather than wider black bars as on LBDO). Additionally, bird appeared to have striped tertials (as opposed to the solidly colored tertials on LBDO). Appeared to have pale fringed scapulars. Underneath, bird appeared mostly white with some spotting or remnants of spotting/barring though did not have good view of flanks. After talking with Vincent O'Brien the following day, it appears we saw the same bird in the same location just minutes apart during and after the rain shower than came through. Poor picture attached.
