Подробности наблюдения
Two birds seen in a ten minute window. First bird was a juvenile sitting on the ocean surface, I was unable to get a photo due to heavy ocean swell, but bird was seen well through 25X stationary 'big eyes' optics. Bird was nearly all white with a heavy pointed dull yellow-orange bill with a black stripe across the eye on both sides of the head, that wrapped around the back of the head connecting at the back of the nape. Back of the neck and back and rump was finely barred with black vermiculations. Bird reared up a couple of times to strech and flap its wings, I could see black on the outer primaries, though due to the ocean swell I could not tell if this black coloration was also on the primary coverts. though it was extensive so presumable was. Bird was identified as a RBTR due to the connecting eye stripe and bill size and structure. There was no long central tail feather on this bird. The second bird was photographed, here are some flight photos, I took some of it sitting on the ocean as well with another camera, I will add those pictures at a later time.
