Detalhes da observação
There were two Clark's Grebe-type birds that had yellowy bills rather than dusky. Both were distant views even when using the scope. Troy C. and I studied them for a time. Since these grebes are not in breeding plumage currently, eye shadowing is not an exact science. However, the eye area of one bird appeared more shadowed and the consensus was it was a good candidate for a Western x Clark's hybrid. The other bird, appeared to have less shadowing over the eye. At the time, Troy was hesitant to call it a full Clark's. However, I spoke to several birders later who saw the bird better than we did; they called it a Clark's Grebe. I also studied my poor quality photos and have concluded there was at least 1 Clark's Grebe on hand, and one likely hybrid. Included photos are of the two birds.
