First located by sharp 'spit' calls. First bird seen teed up - cool brown bunting with blurry bluish streaking on breast and underparts, blue splotches on wings. Disappeared quickly, whereupon we heard a second bird from across the road. This individual was notably more cinnamon colored with faintish brown streaks and distinctive malar stripe, lacked wingbars.
