First season bird. Short stocky Buteo. No barring at all in the secondaries. Short primaries. Shorter legs than a RSHA. Strong throat stripe. Seen in the bushes just inside the park entrance. Jays were mobbing it , and it briefly perched on some snags. A treat to see one perched in Pinellas.
