Mixed in with a large, very mobile flock of sparrows. Larger bodied appearance gave it away initially, very slight amount of yellow on this individual, heavy bill and well defined malar, intricately patterned back feathering, photographed during the first viewing then seen a half hour or so later with Andrew & June and photographed again a bit better. Personal first for the winter months in Virginia Beach.
