Mostly white bird with dark almost black primaries and gray secondaries edged with white. Tail white. Head flattish in profile, not round like Ross's G. or most ducks. Grizzled look to top of head and back of neck. Cheek whitish gray, but gray streaks from lower face downwards and around towards back of neck. Bill and face shape almost straight in profile, just a slight rise to forehead above line of bill. bill too long for a Ross’s Goose. Resting with one of CG flocks on lawn. Dark bill and grey with hint of pinkish legs - no orange like a domestic or Greylag. Notably smaller than CGs, but larger than other possible ducks.
